i got my cover and all i have to say it wow. hey kenny, ya know the kinda grey color that fresh aluminum gets when water dries on it, if you were to powder coat a trans color over that, it would kinda have the texture of gold leaf under the coat. i was looking at a spot that i remember being a little messed up when i shipped it, and it kinda has that appearence. you should do a test jobber with a small peice sanded in several different dirrections with somthing like 200-300 grit.

actually im playing with damascene (turnedmetal)

its a swirl pattern thats sanded into the metal then usually cleared. im gonna throw some trans color over it and see what it looks like:)

Spraylat coatings have some powder that they call crinkle. they look just like that. There is one called Bonded silver crinkle that I have been thinking of trying a trans over. Always thought it would look really neat. I personally have alwasy liked Brushed aluminum with a trans over it.

yep thats it.

i pondered that the other day when i recieved a csae to pc. it was all kinda tore up. i figured if i could add some metal work to hide all the destruction the case would turn out alot better. and besides....there aint nobody doin that kinda stuff on quads:devil:
