Storing a Quad Vert [Archive]

Is it bad 4 the quads engine if it gets stored vert all the time. Mine is being stored vert right now and im wondering by the time riding season is back like in october if i should expect any engine problems when i go to start it up. I have a 400ex and my buddy has a Z400.

might hurt the z400 but I doubt it will bother the EX....LOL I'm sorry I could'nt help it....I know a guy that hauls a 250x 3 wheeler in his trailer that way ,I think he just turns off his gas....good luck

Once you get to where you are going I would let it sit level for a while before firing it up. This is to allow the oil level out. I would also check the oil level too before riding.

no damage should be done. i would change the oil and filter in it before you ride though.

check the battery before your next planned ride also, for some reason it seems to drain them.

thats a very good point ;) and what ever it leaks on is going to get messed up:confused2
