cant you buy a new one?
i would just hook it up backwards, thurn the ignition in the truck on and let it clean ti out.

explination.

take the fueal filter you rember how it is sposed to go right? well hook the flow up backword, but only the line that is coming from the take, DO NOT hook up the motor side, then get a bucket and put the other side of it in the bucket turn the car igniton on, it will pump fuel threw the filter backwords , do it for a few seconds, then hook it bakc up the right way.

clean it good with soap and water...let it soak in gas for a day..then put it right in the microwave for about 10 minutes.

Not for my truck. At the dealer they are $55 and at Auto Zone they are $40.

Its only that price if you have one of the powerstrokes, duramax, or cummings because they are different from others. By chance he does have one of those, a $40 dollar fuel filter should be nothing. I doubt he does. So he's looking at spending $15. The one for my jeep cost $10.
