seeing as how the 300 cam with 22's out back, a set of 20's would definately increase your handling. I personally just got a set of Holeshots 20 up front and 18's for the rear. After one ride, i can honestly say is has been a GREAT improvement! I am not too sure how well the 300 will take to 18's. You would probably HAVE to regear it then. 1st gear WOULD be,and 2nd gear would ALMOST be useless.

cant beat 18s on 9 inch rims as soon as you want em to slide blip it, no tired roll like 8 inch rims

will adding a smaller sprocket on the back prevent me from redoing my gears or will it still rev quicker?

becasue i just want it to have lower profile for looks and so it don;t bounce around so much after landing jumps plus i would like just a little bit more acceleration

so going smaller for a sprocket by like 2 teeth good or is it too much???

all you professionals that know this stuff if i put say 18's on my 9 inch rim how small would i have to go to make it the same speed as with the stockers...... -4 -2 ???????

ok grass hopper, i think you are a little confused. "redoing my gears" IS changing sprockets.

-2 teeth on the rear almost ='s +1 tooth on the front. +1 front s a little more aggressive

I'm not a 300 expert, but i think a few here have said that a 300 will take a 16 tooth front sprocket nicely. What i mean is that if you have any performance enhancers (intake/exhast), the larger front helps. But, you are looking at dropping 4 inches in tire diameter. That is a HUGE difference. My honest opinion...get a 36 tooth for sure. Then, buy a really cheap 16 tooth front. Try that out. If you don't like, you only lost maybe 10 bucks. (next time you go ridingat a local riding joint, maybe someone will want to buy it?!)

If you get the 36 rear and that till doesn't have enough top end, send me a PM...i'm in the market for one anyhow:D

i think the 300ex has a 13 tooth front stock. when u drop to a 18 in the rear put a 14 up front and it would be like only dropping 2 inches on the tire so u get the better acceleration
