on monday i picked up my new toy, a 2000 400ex. it's a blast, i love it so much, it's so much better than my banshee, except for i miss the crazy accel and top speed of a banshee, no one ever forgets that:D .

what do you guys think of my new beast? it runs niiiice and rides smoothly, the works triple rates w/rezzies sure do make a difference:D especially in jumping:blah: . who would've thunk it?:uhoh:

Looks real nice but I would take those stickers off. Thats JMO.

yea i plan on taking off all the stickers and the 400ex graphics and just keeping the number plates on. they are coming off anyway, and some of them just look gay.....

also, i got it for $3,300, think that's a good deal?:confused:

Yes I do as a matter of fact....... mines just nicer and I actually put some "work" into mine instead of pissen my money away on usless mods.

No no no, I wasnt talkin about you dude......... i meant krisnovak23, he buys the cheapest things on the market like $16 moose bars that he bent already, and is too lazy to buy front tires and trust me his are like racin slicks they are soo smooth.

i'm not a big fan of 229ex's....my friend has one and he had a twist throttle on it, and it stuck on me going up a hill in second gear and i hit a tree and rolled....plus they don't have manual clutches, their shifting pattern reminds me of my 1985 LT185 and i just dont' like them......but yours seems like it's nice with the mods you have on it.

do you know where there are any manual clutch kits for 229's? my friend wanted to get one i know....and that would make it a lot better of a quad....


Ya Id like a manual clutch, but no one makes one for the 250....... you can switch the discs and use another models clutch, but its alot of work so Ive heard.

haha, well i decided not to...2-strokes are just too unreliable for me and the kind of riding i do, which would require constant maintanence and it would blow on me like in 10 minutes with my luck :D

besides the guy won't write down a list for me, and he wants an even up trade for my banshee which i don't think is worth it because i know a guy who will buy my banshee for 4500....so yea, i'll just sell that and mod out my 400 :D...or better yet....new honda:blah:
