View Full Version : special tools??

since i am going to be getting a quad i was wondering if there was any special tools i will need to work on/rebuild it. i have all the normal stuff but i was just wondering about anything abnormal. lemme know thanks.

theres nothing really special, if you need something, buy it when you need it. no sense buying somethign you may never use. but i would recommend on gettin a torque bit set instead of using allen wrenches. just my own opinion, you can get more torque using a rachet then just a little hex key.

I have to agree. Buy a set of allen sockets up to 10mm.;)

For general maintenance the regular metric wrench and socket set will be fine along with metric allen wrench set that the others mentioned. And a good torque wrench.

If you plan on getting into the rear end have a couple of large pipe wrenches handy.

After you get it off for the first time, replace it with an aftermarket one.;)

If ya buy the manual for the quad (which I strongly advise)..in it you will find all the info ya need ;)

Oh of course! I have the proper size crows foot wrenches for those nuts, so it didnt even occur to me to use a pipe wrench on them:rolleyes:
