Question about 250R shock

Hey guys,
I have a rear 250R shock for my blaster. Down where it "forks" there are some kind of set screws on each side. What are they for? I know on one side it says "soft <--> hard " but that doesn't really tell me anything. Please help :confused:

i would guess for rebound, compression adj. are usually on the rezzy.

rebound is on the bottom, compession is on the rezzie
