CRF 450 (DB) with oil tank, am i able to do it??

i am wanting to know if i am able to use an oil tank, like the 400ex, on a crf450 dirt bike engine??? i know that it uses tranny oil and then engine oil, i know they are seprate from each other... i just want to know if it will work so i am able to run a oil tank that just holds oil for the egine not tranny??? what would i have to do??? or will it not work at all??

im sure its possible, ive been looking at where the oil flowns in my crf, just dont dare to drill the holes in the cases, i been thinkin about putting on an oil cooler, but not a tank, im pretty sure its possible, just hafta look at all the lil oil passages by your filter cover area, im not gonna try it tho. maybe wait for the new honda to come out, maybe that'll have one and you can see where to poke the holes.
