hey.. anyone know how reliable a new banshee is? i may get a new one. but i dont want to do rebuilds like a yz250 2 stroke. i herd their pretty reliable when their totally stock. is this true? are they good bikes?

They are very reliable. Have never had a problem with them even when they were not stock! just maintain them like any other bike and they will be fine:)

what about the motors, do ya hafta let them cool every 20 mins er so? how often to ya hafta rebuild them?

rebuild them 1 time a year and they should be fine and you caan get cool heads that are better flowing and cool better.:ermm:

they are very reliable....rebuild depending on how much u ride and stuff...just take care of it and it will take care of u

My brother just put new rings in his 2000 model and it didn't really even need them. They can take some serious abuse as long as you take care of them and use good oil.

Banshee's are pretty reliable. Just keep up with the maintance and you should be fine.

Modified Banshee's are known for overheating. So cool heads will be a good investment.

thanks alot.. i've narrowed it down to the bikes im gunna get. a new banshee, new raptor or a new z400. what do u guys think is the best quad?

Personally, I would take a Banshee over a Raptor. Gotta love the 2-stroke power!

Out of all of them, I would get the ltz400. The 04 models should have the frame problem intact. Or atlease one of my Atv magazines said that.

The power is alright. Might need to beef it up to be more competitive on the MX tracks. The stock suspension and handling is way better than both the Raptor and Banshee.

i dont want to race it, i just want it for riding around the trails & maybe an mx race er 2. but thats what i thought too, the z400.. but the guys that sell suzuki around here, their real pr|icks..

If you can't find another Suzuki dealer nearby, then.........

suzukui did not fix the frame problem. they denied anything wrong with the 2003 frame so i guess theres nothing to fix ROFL :mad:
