i think i made my decision.would you do it?

i keep changing my mind on what i want to do , keep the 300, get a 400, dirtbike, etc but i think ive decided on this- keep my 300 until i save around 500-800 or so dollars. sell the 300 in the local newspaper for 2800-3000(there are tons of overpriced quads in it). have around 3500-3800 to spend on my new quad. ive decided that i think i want a 250R. ive always loved them but for some reason i just started really liking them. i see plenty of sweet R's go for that price. now do you think thats a good idea. i ride fast open feild, a couple trails, motocross and everything else. i can keep the R and just set it up as the money comes in and maybe race when i turn 16. how does it sound and everyone that has 250R's would you get one over a 400ex? thanks alot guys

i know its hard for you to decide since its not you in the dilemma but just give what you would do.thanks again

Let's see a 300ex or a 250r:ermm: I think I would take the 250r.

I would just love the 400EX, but by the time you modify them to get anywhere close to the power of a lightly-built 250R, you're gonna stick the rod through the cases or blow the tranny sky-high.

If you do a lot of trail riding the 400EX is nice because you don't have to mess around mixing gas and oil or carry extra with you. Pisses me off when someone takes a motocross bike on a trail ride with us and we have to spend half of the day looking for a gas station because he's running low. On top of that, you have to carry oil because GOD KNOWS if the stations are going to have anything close to your brand of oil.

In the end, its all personal preference!

Eric you still won't beat me. next summer if you have a new quad you have to come down to my place. new local track 20 minutes away but i clear everything. who cares but we need to ride. get an R. thought you wanted a 400ex, then Z, then new honda or yfz and now a 250r? i wanted one of those. but i have this and i want to build an 400EX. GET AN R!;)

Just Kidding. I would probably get the R. They are a good investment too. You can thrash it and still get your money back. If you did want a Cannondale though they are pretty much giving them away.

THeres a tecate in our local paper for 2 grand right now. Dam i wish i had some money
