t-4 help

i have a 400 and i put the t-4 full system on it, but the header burns the **** out of my leg it goes through my riding pants. I was thinkin of welding the guard from the stock header on it wat do u think?

In dirtwheels magazine i saw In James Lucky's ad they sell a guard that raps around the pipe. I think Jim the Alaska guy has one.
