z400 shocks and a-arms on a 300ex

Does anyone know if this is possible....if so is it the same as a 400ex to 300ex conversion?

i thougt i read in dirtwheels where the z/ex frontends swap with each other. so it should work fine if they do fit. yes, it would be the same as the 400ex conversion.

So your saying 400ex shocks will fit on a 300ex??? I just got some but I have +3 arms & they seemed WAY to long, do you need to modify the mounts at all?? Someone help please!! :):D

dirtmomma...go on ebay & look for the mounts for the 400ex shock conversion on a 300ex. They are pretty cheap, theres not one on there now but some guy makes them and sells them cause iv'e seen them there before. anyways, good luck geting one before labor day :(

i don't see the big deal bout 400ex shocks,i know they are better then stock 300ex but when i rode my friends on a track my works were 3times smoother then the stock shock of the 400ex.i'd just save the money and get works if i was you it makes a diff.to think bout it mine haven't even bottumed out yet and i've jump some really big jumps.but this is my opinion

You'll like it. I put 250R a arms with Works on mine and it feels awesome! Everyone who's ridden it says it feels way better than stock.

No, I ordered custom length/valved shocks(14.75") directly from Works. Everything bolted right up without any probs. I didn't trust the homemade shock mount thing. I would only do that if I wanted to use stock 400ex shock for a budget upgrade.

Thanks for the info guys, yeah I just decided to stick w/ the stock 300 ones since I don't do alot of jumping, mostly flattrack & I'm not that big. ;)
