I have a 2001 Honda 400ex, I would like to make some upgrades to the stock bike. For instance a rev kit. What things do I need to do to the bike after the install of the rev kit..i.e jetting? My knowledge of quad is limited since I just got into the sport. My main question is what modifications could I do to get more pep out of my 400ex (air filter, slip on exhaust, rev kit)? What important steps should I consider when I finally do install these parts? Thanks for your help.

A rev kit I would forget about! A air filter, a good full system exhaust is a good start. Instead of a rev kit, a cheap hop-up is the advance timing key. What I would do is to get a hold of our site sponsor, which is C&D racing and they'll give you prices and advice and steer you in the right direction.

Rev kit- almost undetectable gain, alot better top speed.
Pipe- A must. not gonna name any for sake of this forum. Rejet.
Filter- naythings better than stock, K&N is the best but your gonna have to rejet it.
Shocks-if you got the $$ SPend it.
+parts- if you have a problem flipping turning over or laying on your back, might be a sound investment.
Cam- fine tunes your engine for your needs.
Big Bore- alotta power alotta work.
If it aint broke dont fix it!
