need help.......I am changing my rear brake pads and cant get them back on because there isnt enough room to get them back over the brake disk...I tried pushing the piston back in with a C--clamp but it still didnt move enough...????...any help????? if I take the lid off the reservoir will it help..???

yes take the lid of the rear resivor off that should help you alot, you might have to force it down onto the disk still though, im not sure really but yes take teh resivor cap off

undo the parking brake on the back..its a bolt on the back of the capliper. I think I messed mine up because now it wont bleed (i forced a c-clamp on it). But loosen the parking brake.

I have another question. I have the block off plate and can't get the piston pressed in far enough for the pads to clear the rotor, unless I loosen the block off plate and let the pin come out the back a little. Then when I go to tighten my block off plate back down it's too tight on the rotor and I know they're the right brakes because I sold them to a buddy of mine an I mounted them right up on his 300. :confused: I even took the main brake line off of the caliper and still no worky?

Thanks for the help...loosened up the parking brake and the piston went back far enough to the pads in.....

make sure you grease the slide pin on the back of the caliper.

i try to gease mine everyother time i change brakes (or everyother weekend, these brakes suck!)
i didnt know you were supposed to do it until both of my front brakes locked up solid, jeff@quadshop said "when the last time you greased these pins?"
oops, 300$ mistake.
