Carrying the Torch for Breast Cancer Patients
Announcing the Third Annual BreastFest
Cleveland, August 18th, 2003: Area female artists have announced that they will continue the honored tradition of fund raising for Breast Cancer Patients through the talents of women in music and art. For the third year they will hold the event called BreastFest. This year the event includes an impressive list of supporters and will be held at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. Promotional support will be provided by: MIX 106.5, The Free Times, the Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Center and The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum.
BreastFest will feature performances by Cleveland's top female Singer/Songwriters including: Tracy Marie, Robin Stone, Alexis Antes, Kehri Spicel, and the group Blues on Purpose (BOP) featuring crooner, Mary Bridget Davies and Kristine Jackson on Trumpet. In addition to the musical entertainment, there will be visual artists, photographers and comedians to showcase their talents, raffle prizes, T-shirts, and much more.
The 8-hour long event will start at 12PM on Wednesday, October 15th at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum located at One Key Plaza, 751 Erieside Avenue (East 9th Street at Lake Erie). The event is free and the Museum is opened from 10AM - 9PM on the day of the event.
Donations will be collected at the event and proceeds will benefit The Barbara A. Leslie Fund at the Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Center, where the monies will be allocated directly to Breast Cancer Patients in need of financial assistance.
