ok guys if i get a 14-15 tooth front sproket and keep the stock bak one will this effect my speed? if so by how much?thanks (o by the waythis is for a 400ex)

15 tooth front sproicket is already on ther.e...wiha 14 you will have mnore takeoff/torque but loose about 7-8mph top speed i think? im getting a 14 soon..when i get the 14 front will i need to change my rear too a new one or can i leave it the same..:blah: :huh

A larger front and/or smaller rear will give you a higher top speed. So will taller rear tires. But you will sacrafice low end torque.

Yes. You might need to modify the case saver for it to fit though, i'm not positive about that, just maybe. You might have to grind away some of it or get an aftermarket one.

DO NOT RIDE WITHOUT THE CASE SAVER!

If the chain lets loose you will be sorry, case savers are cheaper than cases

Instead of doing all the case saver modification crap, you could just go smaller a tooth or 2 on the back sprocket, alot easier...

you could do what he said, however it is not nearly as cheap. its rather easy to grind a little down on the case saver. also, with the smaller sprockets in the rear, i don't like how it is making my rubber chain slide wear.
