Since I couldnt get a 400EX, i had to settle with the 300EX, which isnt bad, but lacks the extra power and better handling of the 400EX. The 300EX stock suspension bottoms out pretty easily off a jump where u get 4 or 5 feet of air. Ive been looking at all kinds of A-Arms and shocks for my 300EX, to give me better handling and more suspension travel. Does anyone out there have any good set ups that have worked well for them? Thanx for your help, its appreciated.

do you have them front and back or just front?

u could get stock 400 a-arms and shocks, it will giv u more travel, and cheap. since it is set up for a heavier 400, the shocks will be stiff to, good for big jumps.

Hi, thanks for the info, I think thats what i want to do, get the 400EX set up for the front end. Do you think I'll have any problems with the back shock after i do that? Should I get an aftermarket rear shock, like a Works? Thanks again

See if its possiable to have the rear rebuilt, im thinking about it too when i switch front ends to a 400ex, but iono if you can get a rezzy or not with it, either a option on the stock one too

You would be better off buying a works rear shock than rebuilding the stocker if it can be rebuilt.

would 400 a-arms and aftermarket 400 shocks on the front and back work, or jut the front?

Just the front. the 400EX rear shock uses a linkage system. You would be much better off buying a works, or other aftermarket brand rear shock for your 300EX. Id go with an AXIS if you have the money. I have a 300EX with the 400EX front end conversion. If you have any questions about how to go about it, feel free to ask me anything. I did the whole conversion myself. I used the kit from ATV Racing.

also does the 400ex setup on a 300 make it sit higher in the front. and if it does do you really notice it?

Did you have to cut off your old shock mount and weld the new one on? Was it hard to do?

thanx

some make you do that some don't. the one im gonna get is the one that bolts on you orginal mount. so you can change it back and fourth really easy.

Does anyone know of the bolt on product that relocates the front shock mount on a 300ex so you can put 400ex shocks on it, with the 400ex a-arms and tie rods????
