i picked up a 2000 400ex this weekend, with the following mods:
FACTORY 909 GRIPS,
LONE STAR HANDLE BAR CLAMP,
RENTHAL HANDLEBARS RED,
MOTION PRO KILL SWITCH,
WORKS TRIPLE RATE SHOCKS SET, UP FOR A 230 LB. RIDER (i'm 160:D)AND MX STYLE RIDING
AC PRO PEG NERF BARS,
SHOCK WARE SHOCK COVERS,
ONE INDUSTRIES SEAT COVER BLACK
K&N FILTER & PRE CHARGER,
DYNO JET KIT,
AC FRONT BUMPER W/ MUD SCREEN,
PEP EZ PULL CLUTCH LEVER & PERCH,
PARKING BREAK BLOCK OFF RED,
DG FULL CHASSIS SKID PLATE,
DG SWING ARM SKID PLATE,

anyway, we got it home and the spark plug is complete sh*t, so i had my friend with his 229ex (don't correct me, IT'S 229) come over and bring me a spark plug, i was thinking that it'd run ****ty and have no power because it's set up for winter and has a Big Gun exhaust and they only give mid-top power, anyway i started it up, took it out for a spin. i gave it a little gas and the front end pops up soo nice. then i took it out on the trail and it handles like a dream! i never knew 400's were THIS nice! *drool* *orgasm* haha, i'll try to get pics on here as soon as possible, it's sweet looking too.
