Do the dynojet main jet numbers match up with the stock main jet numbers? For instance, is a 122 stock main jet the same as a dynojet 122?
thanks!

do you get any performance with a dyno jet kit or is it worth less, just a bunch of jets

The numbers are not the same. Dynojets have a different taper to them than the stock jets also. That is why Dynojets must be used in conjunction with a dynojet needle to run properly. The dynojet numbers usually run a little higher than the Kehin numbers for the same setup. For instance, my 400ex has an aftermarket exhaust and no airbox lid with a k&n filter. It runs on a 170 Dynojet. My friend's quad has the same mods and he runs a 160 kehin jet. I tried the 160 dynojet in mine when I first installed the kit and it was way too lean. It runs perfectly with the 170.

They are a little pricey and you end up with a bunch of jets that you don't use, but they make jetting your quad very easy. Just follow the jetting recommendations that are provided with the kit and your jetting is usually right on the money.

i was told differently on the differences. i was told that a 170 keihin is about one size smaller than a 170 dynojet. i really don't know if that is correct or not because i have never used dynojets, but i have told some people that so i hope i am not wrong.

dynoejets are bigger then kehines, a dynojet 155 is about the same a as kehie 160. and they dont need there neddle to run correctly my bike runs fine with the stock needle, manly because the needle seats in the pilot jet area not the main jet.

the needle doesnt seat in the pilot jet, it seats in the main jet. thats why they come in a kit together. i am running a DJ main w/o the DJ needle right now, doesnt seem to run better or worse.

a 155 DJ is like a 158-160 keihin.
