Heck yeah my nephew raced his 250ex last year & did good onit!! He has a pipe, & it's lowered some, but he raced mx on it. He just got a 250r(BRAT) for his bd so he's done w/ that one. We need more women racers so get out there & have some fun!!!! You can probably run in the blaster class w/ it. Not sure how it works in your area though.:)
BTW WELCOME TO YOUR NEXT ADDICTION:devil:

a blaster would destroy a 250ex, i wouldent say its a racing bike more of a sporty looking trail cause its just a recon minus the racks with agressive plastics......thats just my opinion tho

I am racing at my local fair next week. What can it hurt? I just want a little experience and to gauge myself against others.

Blasters need more room to get to the meat of the powerband than the 250EX does so on certain tracks, the 250EX has an advantage. Plus I can go straight from the track to the trails and mud and not have to worry about a thing. I am just someone who wanted a good trail bike that wasn't totally competition handicapped. I'll see how the race goes. I may not enter if I don't get some Razr's before next Thursday.

To be honest with you, I would rather have a TRX90 or XR50 than a Blaster. I just don't feel comfortable on the Blaster. It gives you an unstable feeling. Ride Red, ******!!:D :blah:

i am a very good rider..lol. i have only lost 2 races and that was my 250ex with 18" tires against a raptor with 22" tires in the snow and my bros banshee against a yfz 450 on a track that is almost all whoops
