NOPE but I'll be able to tell you but it's gonna be awhile hehehe, we're putting a 600 motor in a modified 250R frame. We're gonna make it into a flattracker to start, then we'll see how it's gonna run & ya never know what it may end up being.

I have a magazine where a guy wanted to do that and he asked if it would be possible. The magazine guys told him that they tried it and cracked the frame everytime..:eek2:

I hear of frames cracking with CRF450 and XR600's etc... But what I dont understand is how people run street bike motors in drag qauds and they are fine. If I were going to build a XR600 in a 400 frame, I would not plan on ever jumping it.

because they dont do it right

the xr 600 and 650 are totally diff motors and yes it has been done before in a desert quad a year or two ago

they did an article on it, its was for team nacs baja desert quad, ridden by wes miller, keith little, harold goodman, we have the engine in our garage just sitting there collecting dust....what a waste

A friend of mine put an XR 600 motor in his 250R frame. It was O.K., what I don't like about it is how low the bottom rails are to the ground now. You either have to raise your seat height or lower the frame rails to get the taller motor to fit. My buddy lowered the frame rails. Also, with the xr 600 motor you have to kick start it. I still like my 493ex's electric start!
