Cleaning oxidized motor?

I have the motor separated from the frame(400 EX) and I wanted to give it a good cleaning. I sprayed it w/ engine degreaser already. It didn't clean up like I thought it would. It appears to have oxidation on it. Any tips on what to use to clean it a little better.

acid works good. my brother uses this acid to clean coils when doing air conditiong repair.

Go to anyplace that sells pressure washing chemicals and buy some stuff called aluma brite. Don't spray it on polished aluminum, but all other aluminum and chrome and it will look brand new.
