Jetting for a 460 stroker

Can anyone give me a place to start.
460 stroker
ported head
k&n filter
Noleen full pipe
choke removed
airbox lid on with a 2x4in. hole
Right now im running 165 main 40 pilot and air screw at 2&1\2 turns out and plug is white!!
Can anyone help?

You need to bump the pilot to a 48-50 and go WAY up on the main. Like 190-195. I am running a 205 in an FCR41 on my 460 right now, but the bigger the carb the bigger the jet. Just jet it to where you think its too rich. Rich cant hurt it, but lean can.

And I could still probably whip you at that hairscramble even on that little badger. Bring it along we'll find out. If I dont like it I can always ride it off into the pnd for ya!!:)

Well so far you have to jump start it but it runs great I just hope I didn't hurt it ridin it with it running that lean. I'm just glad I pulled the plug when I did. I figured Id have to change it but didnt think that much!:huh

Well take the time and break it in right. If Chef is right and you can run a 190 main that thing should haul. DON'T SIEZE IT DRAG RACING CODY FIRST THING.

Well it ran for 5 hours which is about 4 more than you usually get before you sieze yours. HA

That only happened once. the other two times it lasted at least two weeks.:rolleyes: But I didn't have the whole motor redone like you did that was the problem with mine.:blah: :blah: :blah: :D

I dont know me and Cody both got the day off we are going to get it going in the morning I guess it depnds if I can get it to start and broke in a little. I might get to take home a podium.:eek2:

Ya I would be too:( But I'm broke I just spent a lot of money on a new motor! I hope I can race but if Cody kicks some tail it'll be worth most of the ride at least. Even if I don't get to!
