look up the name "beerock" and email him. He lives in NJ and has a stock 250R frame he's looking to sell.
try to get an aftermarcket one, or i think a stock 400ex frame will work, i heard it handles better to.

aftermarket ones are way too much, a 400ex one wont fit, try to get a stock one, or can you get it welded and fixed, this is what i did to mine the 1st time it broke

We broke a 250x in two right were the swingarm bolts up and we welded it back, sandblasted it back down, painted it and it looks just fine.Hardly noticable:)

Now, I may be totally wrong here since I'm not a Honda expert but I'm pretty sure the 250R frame and 400EX are not the same. They are very similar but the 400EX's is slightly taller to accomodate the taller 4-stroke powerplant. The 250R's is conversely a little shorter giving it a slightly lower center of gravity.

Guy is dead on the money. It also has a weight balance issue. The 250r is like 50-50 weight distribution. Where the 400ex is more like 60-40. Not much but in a quad that jumps through the air it makes a huge difference. Mo

You are correct, a 400ex frame wouldnt work on a 250r. Plus the fact of the different mounts for the battery, motor mounts, oil tank, radiator....etc. If you can't find anyone my friend Rich Buckley has a stock 250r frame gussetted and powdercoated red for sale. This frame was raced TT for two years though, one year class A and one year pro. So its got some miles on it but TT racing isnt as harsh as mx is on the frame.

I think that the 400 was actually like 49%(maybe 49.4...) front and 51% rear, then they put the rider on in an aggressive position and it went like 40-60...not tryin to flame, but i saw that somewhere...
Yea i think that the 400 frame would work.most of the people that i ride with have 400's.But the only thing is wut would be cheaper?a 250r frame or a 400ex frame?even if u know anyone with a cheap 250r frame or 400 frame ,contact me.thanx(i'm open for different ideas on this frame dilema)

Check with a machine shop about having it welded. Depending on how/ where it's broken, a welded frame may be stronger than stock. This would likely be the most economical option as well.
