i am modifyingmy 300ex and heard of people using 250r a-arms or 400ex a-arms on a 300ex to make it either 1.5 or 2 inches wider on each side.is this true and if so are there any mods that have to be done?

thanks for your time

Ya man,
You can get 400EX A-Arms, Shocks and Tie Rods for your 300EX, they should bolt right up. Except, because of the increased shock length, your shock mounting tower needs to be moved up some. You can either buy a special tower from a company called ATVracing, I think its called, if you get that you have cut your old one off then you need to have the new one welded in place. Or Ive been hearing about this company that is supposed to be coming out with a bolt on product that bolts right onto the stock 300ex shock tower and relocates mount spots for the top of the shocks. If you get 400EX A-arms, tie rods and shocks and that mounting kit, that should work and make it wider and handle alot better. Check out this web site, it shows a 300ex with this conversion, only he bought the new tower that you have to weld on. Hope i helped some. bye
