I have a 00ex with a Sparks 416 motor with the 12.1 piston, Hot rod, trued and welded crank, Sparks cam, hardened rocker arms, heavy duty titanium valve springs, port work and valve job, 8 friction plate 7metal plate clutch and heavy duty clutch springs. I can't get my valves to quiet down I have already installed a timing chain which calmed it down some. I set my valves at stock clearances, is this the problem? I have e-mailed Sparks but have not received a reply. Any ideas?

For one it's gonna be noisy with your motor setup..

What kind of oil do you use????

you may need to go with a larger valve clearance, but don't hold me to that because i don't know anything about his cam.

I would recommend you stick with the 10w-40. The 20w-50 is just too thick. The pump isn't designed for that thick of a fluid. Just a thought.

Good idea, it had 10/40 in it when I got it back. IT IS worth a try, thanks.

try a .005 of an inch clearance on the intake valves and a .006 inch clearance on the exhaust valves.
