if you were to buy a new quad what would you buy out of these three. Becaseu the 400 is 5600 and the two 450,s are like 6800 to 7000 and if you baught a 200ex and put a 426 or 440 in it it woold be just as godd as them in some categoriesso whta would you guys and gals do.

But your 426 and 440 idea is good as well. It will be a simpler machine to maintain, and there a ton of parts for it.

No, sorry i had a 400ex with EVERYTHING done to it (15K+) and it wont touch my STOCK yfz. I put a pipe on it and there is no way any 400ex could keep up in a straight line.. Get the YFZ

the yfz isnt all that the only place i feel its fast is on a wide open mx track or drag, they have very lil bottom end i hate the power, with the baffel removed there faster than the average 416, , i dont know id rather have a honda just looking at the yamaha scares me

No a 465 wont keep up with a piped yfz....Or a 505 for that matter.. I had everything done from no airfilter 39mm fcr all the way through oversized valves high comp piston ported out the TC shorty exhaust.....still doesnt compare at all to the YFZ

I think this whole post is BS from a person in denial, no offense, thats just my take..I would let you ride my YFZ thats piped and properly jetted then you might change your mind, it has more bottom once you get an exhaust to let the motor breath, i admit stock its so corked up its wants to stall, but let it breath and it has as much bottom as a worked 425ex....I dont feel its fast wide open, i used to have a banshee, but the whole powerband is just meat....its almost a myth about the yfz "2 stroke" power....its not THAT bad....i dont know whos ridden the quad and who hasnt, but if you havent ridden a piped YFZ, not stock, then dont knock it until you do, its good
