I saw people changing to a 42 pilot jet on their 400ex's to help with the cold starts, what would be a good pilot jet size to get my 300 fired up? I'm under 1000ft elevation.

42 works perfect on mine but I have a larger head pipe with stock 400EX silencer and K&N with outerwears airbox lid. I should also let you know that I removed my choke. A couple pumps of the accelerator and it fires right up in the cold weather.

I forgot to mention that I have a Pro Circuit T4 silencer, Dyno Jet jet kit, and an outerwears air box lid. maybe I'll try that 42. do you guys think I should put my stock air box lid back on?

i would leave it on, water and crap will get in there, unless u jus race it, if u want jus poke 2 1inch holes in it
