im looking at getting new tires for running MX and was wondering what tires everyone runs and the pros and cons to what they have. I was looking at the r/a shredders. They are cheaper then holeshots and razars. Everyone says holeshots wear to fast. What about the razars and the R/A?

thanks for the input.

You should get the new kenda klaws. They hook up real well. Ive used holeshot mx's and like em. I have kendas currently but when these wear out im going back to the holeshots. I more worried about performance than price and wear and tear.

i agree, kendaw klaws, or RazR's, RazR's have the longest wear, but kenda are better all terrain tires, they are the hottest, and best value tire available right noe. Right now i have razrs, but as soon as they wear out, im throwin kendas on.

no offense, holeshots suck, they are only really good in hard pack, and have the worst wear rate. RazR's or Kendas are the best!!!

i have to say i have razr's and they suck. they never hook up in hard pack and thats all i ride so i guess i made a mistake when i bought them but they do hold up well. this is my second year on them. but my next tire is either going to be the klaws or turfs

I would have to say klaws, holeshots, then razr

well everyone seems to be really likeng the klaws. That is what I have been hearing is that they are the new hot tire. The best part is they are one of the cheaper tires. So I think I will get the klaws ordered up next week.

thanks

I agree! A buddy of mine has them on his Raptor and they hook good. Plus you can turn them around for either hard packed or soft terrain. :D

speaking of that. I run at a track that has a mixture of both and i do alot of hardpack trail riding. So what way should i put my tires???

I just got a set of Klaws, havent got to run em yet though. The Soft direction is for soft to medium surfaces. Hard is for medium and on up. It doesnt matter which way they mount them, you can just swap the back tires from side to side and see which direction works better

hey if im not mistaken isnt just the oppisite. soft tire is good for hardpack and hard is good for soft?

youre thinking of tire compounds, and its correct for that. This tread has a pattern thats good for a loose surface when spinning one way, and good for hard packed surfaces when running the other direction
