the TCS conversion is 450 from CT Racing. yes it is worth every penny. i can tell u that they perform 200% better than stockers.

should I do this or sell my stock shock for $75 & pay $500 for a new works rear shock?

Talk to Santo DeRisi here on the site. He does some great rebuilds I believe a heck of a lot less than that. Yes it is worth the money.

The rebuild is definately worth it! The only thing you can't gain from the rebuild is travel! But a properly set up shock doesn't nessecarly(sp) need the longer travel :D Your 400ex rear shock has all the adjustments that you get on other shocks already aswell :D Hope I helped you make your decision :D

ok thanks guys. i just dont think $450 is worth a rebuild. you can almost get a brand new shock for that.

Lets see, new valve, and all that junk, new fluid, taking it apart, dialing it in. Nitrogen, and a trained professional doing it.

How about they change the springs, sometimes add more springs, change valves, nitrogen, oil, hard anodize, replace the bumper, all new bushings in the shocks, etc and you pay for the labor and r&d that the shock builder and company has gone through and all of that goes in to the shock that is set up for YOU.
