FCR for sure, why do you think they use them on all the MX dirtbikes, also the yfz uses a FCR, I believe.

I've had both and overall i like my fcr better. The fcr has a lighter and shorter throw, and it seems like you need to adjust the edelbrock more to keep it running good. Not to mention the fcr has way better topend.

i've ran the fcr 39, edelbrock, and the edelbrok 440 Eichner series, and the eichner is best by far. It has more bottom end and top than the other two And it is so simple to dial in. I dialed mine when I first got it over 6 months ago and haven't touched it since. It automatically compensates for altitude changes, and there are no jets.

I agree with you. I have had my edelbrock on since January and love it. I have a 426 kit in mine and it just plain rips. No adjusting which is very nice!!

Ditto on the Edelbrock, the carb really woke up my top end. Got the parts for my 416 and I know the Edelbrock will do the job for it. Easy to adjust.

I would say the FCR because they have been using them for years now and its been put to the test. If the edelbrock is a little cheaper than I would get that

Doug Eichner has put edelbrock to the test for years and has taken many victories with that carb a lot more than most riders with the fcr, and edelrock designed the eichner 440 version based off of his personal testing of the carb. Did I forget to say no freakin JETS!

Its still easier to change a jet in a fcr then it is too change a needle for an edelbrock. It seemed with my edelbrock when i got it dialed in it ran perfect. But everytime i rode it it ran worse and worse untill i adjusted it again.

I guess i like my old fashioned jet carbs.

can u run the edlebrock 440 edition on other bores too or is it only good on a 440?

A buddy of mine has the 440 one on his stock bore quad , but he has all the same stuff done to his motor as mine other than that.

How much does the eichner series run for? Right now the FCR is going for around $420 with the cable. Ive seen the regualr edelbrock and they didnt impress me at all.
