is it possible to put an 86 motor into an 88 frame? and how would it be done...
I have a spare 88 frame..
86 aftermarket swing arm, etc....
I basically ahve all the parts to make an 86 and 88 bike..lets just put it that way....

I am pretty sure but not 100% that your gunna have to use a 88 swingarm to match the frame. I know you can make brackets to hold the motor at the back. Go to www.rriders.com, go to the chassis section and there is some info on it.

yup u need to use the 88 swinger and the linkage !!

and where would the rar of the motor hook up? like a normal 88 motor?

yup it just hooks up like a normal 88 motor there is no difference int he motors its the mounting thats causing your headaches

good luck finding the linkage i had a hell of time finding it !!

i'm pretty sure i'll be able to find it..if not i'll be going to a no link set up lol...a crappy no link set up....
