who's goin and can anyone tell me how the track is laid out? i've never been there and just lookin for some info

The track is sort of a European style track.....1.5 miles long...some high speed stuff....some tight stuff....not a whole lot of jumps, but some technical jumps.....big uphill and big downhill.....a couple of off camber corners.

thanxs, is there usually a good quad turn out? and good competition? cuz i was thinking of going and its a 3.5 hour drive for me

i dont mind racing but the thought of the first turn and 20 quads dont get me non too excited anymore:p

im anxious to see tomohawks layout and get back to throwin dirt at budds...its been a long time:(

There will be practice on saturday and a night supercross race on Sat. night.

Pappy I think it would be more fun to either run the A class or C class....stay away from the vet class.
I will run A....if I race....I will also be racing a bike that weekend

Oh...if starts don't get you too excited anymore, you surely won't be digging Tomahawk.....Cool track, but the start is hairy. Up a small grade, around a tree to your right about a 120 degree turn....guessing....I got hung up im my first heat there and got a DNF :scary:

i ran A at another mx in early 2002 to stay away from the jakkasses. i didnt finish last thankfully:p

Pappy....trophies cost $3 per inch believe it or not.
We about had a heart attack when we ordered them for the 1st race.
We have been having John Ayers at MotoTees doing some plaques for us and that is a little less expensive, but not much.

I will be there. Does anybody know if quads are racing first this time. That was stated at the last race & I was wondering if it is true. I had heard there were some changes made to the track. Does anybody know?

There have been some changes in the back section of the track....the big off camber after the downhill has been leveled out some....there have been a lot of trees taken out of the back and the track in the back has been made wider.....there has also been a big uphill triple added to the back.....the rythm section has been changed with the last jump being a big 60 ft double.

Seriously though I have not been on the quad since that tumble at the last MX race at Tomahawk....been busy with work, riding jet skis, and concentrating on riding the bike(KX250).
Everything looks doable though. Remember the small tabletop after the 3 doubles...that is the landing now for the big 60 ft double, there is plenty of straight away between it and the small double to get a good run. The uphill triple should be easy to double and single out of on a quad.
The racing will definately be faster!!

I think we need to call out PAPPY!!! He probably has the best looking quad on the site.....he needs to get it dirty and Tomahawk is his old stomping grounds and soon to be new back yard!!!!!

The race was good, until 3.75 laps in to the 2nd heat when I decided to pass on the new step up in the woods..after the down hill. And do a face plant into the 2nd jump, bending my steering stem, breaking my visor on my helmet, and twisting my knee all to hell.........lmao By the way, that pass would of put me in 3rd out of 18...lol Needless to say, I finished last....but i did finish. I got 5th the first heat....I was hitting that thing all of the first and 2nd heat, but I took a different line trying to get that pass, and then WHACK!! lmao:D

12gofast... I thought the track was in good shape. There were improvements from the last race so that shows you all are improving the track. The first moto was rough b/c of the mulch but it is mx. The second moto was very good. It's nice to go to a track that is "quad friendly". Thank you.
YLW400... At least this time you made it through the 1st turn both motos. lol

Hey Brian,don't know if ya remember me or not but i was at the one race where that brave guy on the green 400 was talkin smack,then he ended up in the trees somehow!Remeber that ?I was there with cody...when his colar bone was broke...lol...I just wanted to say hey and i'll be back up when i decide to buy another quad...i dont have the 400ex anymore i traded it for a 96 grand cherokee...i miss it but i couldnt pass up that deal!

Yea Brian He must not have been payin attention on the down hill huh?...But i talked to cody about a month ago,and he said he offered me the R,his trailer,and all of his riding gear for 6000,he's crazy,but i was really thinkin about it though...im really startin to regret getting rid of the 400,i miss the thrill so much!i've been thinkin about a 450 now,but i dont know much about them,i want to see some of them in action and maybe talk to a couple people when they get them...so why are you sellin your 400?and y so cheap?...get back to me with all the info on it and let me know what's goin on with it....
