I hear that alot of desert racers use bandits because they have such thick sidewalls that if you get a flat you can keep going. The bandits are suppose to last a long time and handle pretty well. The only downside is that they weigh alot and will make you lose some power.

I see we are both in AZ. I have 3 sets of tires. I have a set of 22" 6-ply Bandits for the rocky trails and such. For MX and flatter, sandwash terrain I have 20" RAZR's. For the Dunes I have 20" paddle tires.

The Bandits are bulletproof but very heavy. I use then when I cannot afford to have a flat tire (most of the rocky trails). The RAZR's are nice, but I baby them as they have soft rubber. The paddles are strictly for the Dunes.

I think holeshot xcts will work good they seem like a really good tire and they are 22' i love my xcs...

can I have an answer to all my questions please. I am getting tires for my b-day and I need to know soon what everyone recommends for me to get for the desert and if the razr 6-ply will hold up out here. I know the bandits will but i think the razrs hook up better. please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!:confused:

The 6 ply razrs will hold up but they will wear faster. As for the at or the xc. I think they are the same and i would get the bandit xcr because it has a more rounded profile and will probably have better handling the the at or xc.

are you recommending the bandits or the razr's? I have no expeirience w/ tires. i can help y with your engine and other things, but i still have to get educated w/ tires.
