And here we go again Ford vs Chevy.

Kinda funny... I own an 88 Chevy Silverado 1500 5.7l 350 and have never had a problem with it. 176k and still running strong.
We also have a 95 Lumina that has never had a problem.
Not to mention the 97 s-10. Yes, weve had several problems with it...but then you step back and look at the hell it goes through. Its a mail route vehicle thats on the road 5 days a week, stop and go 600 times a day. The vortec is still running great thought!

Dad finally pulled away from the Chevy's after me telling him not to several times over and he bought an 03 Ram 4x4 QuadCab. Personally, I dont like it and am a die hard Chevy fan. We'll see whos truck is still running a few years from now. :blah:

Really?

I have a 93" Chevy(1500 Ext. Cab 4X4, 8 foot bed) with a 350 5.7 litre, And it's great. I haven't had any problems at all with it. It just rolled over 100,000 a couple of weeks ago. No slippage with the Tranny, no squeaks, no nothin.

Every company has bad vehicles, Fords have their problems, and Chevy's have theirs.

Did you get this Truck new or used?

Did you flush all the fluids as soon as you got it?

I dunno around where you guys live, but around here the Chevys and the Fords have about equal reliability.

i am the second owner of this truck i bought it about 2 months ago and it seems i have constantly been dumping money into it. Yes when i got it i changed ALL fluids and flushed the systems. The truck only has 92000 miles. And yes i have looked at the owners manual. I am extremly anal about my vehicles and thats why everything gets fixed as soon as it breaks i love the truck but damn iv dumped alot of money into it. I would never own a ford though. Everyone i know who ownes a ford has dumped 2x as much money into it. Its just bad luck on my part i think. but ohh well i quess life just isnt fair

dont blame the truck, u dont know what the guy before u did to it, a ford could do the same thing yea know.

Yep, sometimes you just get a bad one.

We've had our truck since it was new, and we take good care of it. Just depends on past owners Manitenance,Driving Style, and Environment conditions.

Hope you get her running good and everything.

Well since I have both a full size Blazer and Bronco I tell you they share one simialrity THEY SUK, yep the debate is over its that simple.

Seriously they do suk differently, the chevy is a much better running lower maint type that excells on the hiway while the ford is a little more "ergo" and performs better off road.

Otherwises pretty much the same crapp.
