Its time to get some new rear tires for the 400. I want something that it a good all around tire and does good in mud. I also need something that isnt gonna wear out easily on pavement. Would going to a 22 inch tire make much of a difference with power?

i have exactly what you need...its called the dirt devil...its available in the smallest size of a 22 & works great on everything & the treads are lasting me 2,000 miles on mostly roads with %60 tread left. heres a pic. for any sizing questions http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid73/p108545a28af78cb7b05ebd1bffe5e096/fb7aac2e.jpg

awwwww yeaaaahhh!!! dirt devils are the bomb!! they are six ply in-destructiable and last a LONG time. they grip on everything. i still think they are the best trail tire made

now for the fornts though i would reccommend a razor or holeshot or something b/c my flat c828s are very hard to steer in the trails & are just a very bad tire (though they are made out of a kevlar/rubber mix & dont wear down)...but for the back I would reccommend a dirt devils setup like mine.

What about the sur tracs or the ITP mudlites, I think both look like good tires?

hm..itp mudlites may be a little too aggressive :( same with the alltracs

Pure sport bandits are an excellent front tire they are also very duriable :scary:

but the bandits are an extremely heavy tire.. you dont have to worry bout them wearing fast, they are very durable..

How did it pull the 22" tires? Did it feel like you were riding a 300EX or did you still have more low end than one? What kinda sprocket do ya recomend? How much top end did ya gain?

I agree if you want a 22, the dirt devils are the bomb. The only thing I think they aren't to good in is grass. On dirt they are incredible. I can do a wheelie with no problem on dirt with my Dad's TRX300!! Mud and dirt is where it really shines so naturally, it is an incredible trail tire. If they came in 20's, I would have got some. I am looking more towards a Razr 2.;)

the 22's were kinda rough with out a 14t sprocket, i think the topend is about the same as stock with the 22's and the 14t sprocket
