I have a 440 with a 41 FCR on it and I never realized something until I was looking at the new ATV magazine yesterday with the K&K yz and crf in it.

My carb has absolutely no vent hoses coming off of it. The YZ and CRF have 39 FCR's on them and they have the hoses.

My question is....is there some reason the 41 FCR doesn't have them or is mine just missing them? also, if mine are missing, excatly how many lines does yours have.

Thanks!!!

There should be! Near the top of the carb, to the rear/airbox side of the slide there are 2 brass fittings that stick out only about 5/16", they face left and right when sitting on the bike. Those are for the vent hoses. You can connect both using a "Y" if it's easier. I would suggest wire tying the hoses on the carb too. Last time I looked the ones on the 39's were in the same spot. At least that's how mine is.
Good Luck!

I don't have any vent hoses on mine. There are brass fittings towards the tp of the slide on the outside, but i was told these were for the street bike set up. That they were never removed. No I haven't had any problems with it. Nor have I had any fuel come out.

The 40 fcr off the crf has 5 vent hoses, and so does the 41 off the ktm450sx.

Ott,
Those two brass fittings are where the vent hoses go. Almost all of the aftermarket 39's & 41's were designed to be installed on in-line engines, that's why the vent line ports face to the sides. That way you can "daisy chain" the hoses from carb to carb. Like BRIM said, the YZ/CRF/KTM models were specifically made for off-road/MX use and they do have different configurations.
