my friend has a 99 blue yamaha blaster and he wants to paint the frame but dont want sliver he want somthing different what coulour should he do it? is it easyer to do that power coat and what dose that mean and what do you need to do it and how dose it look and is it cheap.

we dont know much about painting frames i do have a paint gun that hooks up to a air compresser would i use that??

powder coating is the best but is not cheep and u have to have it done buy a pro, its sprayed on then baked at 400 for 10-15 mins and then its done and is stuff as hell

tuff* and i also just had my sub frame bumper and heat sheild done and its looks great.

how much would it cost for a frame to be done ??

not sure it was 135 with shiping for my stuff PM pappy or 2000ex they can help you out.

if u use paint he will have to paint it twice or more cause it will jsut peel off and look like crap but if u p/c it will last for a long time.

when I restored my 300 I blasted all the old paint off..used a good epoxy primer and used Imron paint..it is a little more expensive but it is tuff as hell..I did it about a year ago and it still looks good....but.....if I had to do it all over again I would get it p/c though...all the effort of blasting it and the expense of a quality paint versus p/c ...go with p/c
