IF you are on a budget get cheap clothes they all wear out about the same.
BUt for boots spend the extra $$ and get a pair of Alpine Stars.

I run O'NEAL helmet, pants, jersey, Oakley goggles, Alpinestar boots, and 661 chestprotector, elbow/forearm guards and neck roll! I love all of that stuff. I would say the best helmets though are Shoei (the new Troy Lee Design ones:eek: ) and best boots are Alpinestars!

i would agree alpinestars are the best boots.
for pants/gloves/jersey check out GS3 at www.gs3clothing.com
for the same price as everyone else you can get a jersey with your name and number on the back. my stuff has held up good too. and for goggles go with scott.

I have thor pants and jersey with Fox boots and a Oneal chest protector. Thor is very good gear but I wish I had better boots. Next pair will be Alpinestars.

It's not like the old days of cotton jerseys. Everything is pretty much the same. It just depends on which gear you like the best. However, I would recomend getting a good quality boot like alpinestars. Just because they last a long time and hold up well. I'll be replacing mine this year after 5 years of service. You may pay $300 but $300 for 5 years is not too bad.

I've got...
Smith Warp Stars
Fox O2 Jersey
Shift jersey - forgot name
Thor jersey - forgot name
Fox 180 Racepant
Fox Airframe
Fox Tracker Boots
Fox Pivot Knee/Shin Guard
Fox Pawtector Glove

But if you have money the Alpinestars are a really nice boot. Or the FormaPro, their a little cheaper.

The new Thor T30 boots are pretty sweet. Not as good as A-stars, but theyre pretty damn good. Thor Phase Gear is pretty nice for being the "lower" Thor Stuff, but for gloves, get the most expensive glove you can buy, like the Thor Core series.

Check out www.motosportsoutlet.com they always have good combo deals on previous years stuff.

alpinestar tech 8's are the best without a question.
