Ok, I went Riding today, My friend let me borrow his 400ex for he day. We had my Digital Camera out there, so, we broke it out later to take sum pics of me jumpin, and i thought it would be all fine and dandy, until after i took a little break to look at the pics, the surroundings were clear but I was a complete BLUR! I messed with focus settings(Multi-focus, Center-Focus, And Infinity). All three had the same results, Clear background, Blurry quad. You know how you have to "Pre-focus" b4 u take the actual pic and thats wut i was thinking was the problem by the way the background was clear and the fore ground was blurry. So, Wut do u guys do for your action pics? I have a Cybershot 2.0 million megapixle by the way. PLEASE HELP!!!

(videos turned out good tho :D )

pre focusing is a start...but with digtal its seems best to PAN the camera. pre focus in the middle of the jump...then follow the rider taking the picture at the hieght of the jump ...and KEEP follwing until the shutter has closed.

some digitals offer the user the option of choosing a faster ISO(film speed) but some dont. also changing the angle to which you are trying to catch the action will net better results too

Digicams also have a delay. You want to lead the pic a little so you capture what you actually want. Mine isnt actually too bad. I get the best results if I dont move. Every camera is different in some aspect, so you'll have to play with it to see what you can and cant do to get the best results.
