i was looking on hotcams website and it said stage 1 was made for midrange to topend power. it says stage 2 is for motocross or desert racing. what exactly does this mean? i thought stage 1 was for low to midrange?

he he, it's there way of interpreting and describing the 2 larger markets for cams, lol
best to get the stage 2...most seem happier with it! Now that the flange problem is addressed the stage 2 should be a good solid way to fly.

the only thing is, the stock piston will be used for a while. how long is a while? i honestly don't know when the piston will be purchased. by the way, how much more trouble is it to install a new head gasket when putting in just a cam?

save your pennies and do it all once...you'll be happier. Less work in the long run.
