Maxxis definitely makes good tires, I think you'd be happy with the Razrs.
just get some holeshots or razrs in 6ply and you should be good to go. Its all a matter of preference:D

i really like the razors...and the kendas
6 ply kenda, ITP, or razr....can't go wrong with any of them.. :macho
You better start workin out cuz we coming back to your neck of the woods ta tear up the trails at the end of Sept...
I know those Razor 2's are a bit pricey, but once I get some nickles to rub together, thats gonna be my tire choice... mean SOB's!

Definatley 6 ply.I have used Razrs and Holeshots with much success. In my opinion the Razr 2's are to aggressive for normal trail riding.....but they are a great muddy race tire(22's for the rear). It's really a tie in my opinion between the original Razrs or Holeshot XCR's(20's for dry or "perfect" soil). On the front I prefer the Razr fronts,I just feel that they track very well(23's)I have had Holeshots up front and Outsu 301 Procomps(6ply) they both worked very well but the Razrs had a more noticable "bite" in the turns.

If you guys remember, he had only ridden Bear Wallow till you guys dragged him to Rockhouse. I think the razor 2's are to aggresive for those rocks. Pappy would know best, but that is just from looking at them.
I really liked my Kenda XCR's. You will love the aftermarket tires compared to stock. And if you were smart, you would go get a job at the jiggly room to save up some money for shocks. You'll love them when you ride them at bear wallow.
