amp link worth it or not?

I am looking at these things called amp links they re route your chain for bottom end grunt and blah blah blahh. does anyone have one for the 300ex do you like it.. or is it just a gigantic gimic

it helps the suspension get the power to the ground better. it takes some of the tension off the chain.
