what is the best setup for mx racing for the 400ex? and for the swing arm would it be best to get a no link or linkage type?

The best would have to be a LT front end with 19" shocks, and the swingarms are basically all the same. There isn't a No Link or CR500 link for the 400. The best thing to do to the back is have your rear shock mount modifed to make it LT and get the Axis shock setup for it.

im talking in terms as to like +2 a-arms and + 1 swing arm or what ever is best for mx.

Well then I would say +3 arms with 4+1 rims in the front, and a +1 1/4 swingarm.

The lt setup like mentioned above would prolly be the best. I run mx and have plus 2 standard a-arms with stock offset wheels and stock swingarm. I think that it works pretty good, but if I did it all over I would prolly get lt. As far as the extended swingarm I have heard good things about it and bad. I have heard that is really help keeps the front end down when the tires hook up keeping the power to the ground, but the bad thing I've heard is that it has a tendency to slide more in the corners (not in a good way slide) so you have to sit back farther to help prevent this. I'm curious as well as what others have to say about an extended swingarm. thanks
