I did not have to, but I did have to mess around with the fuel/air screw.

Raptor, send me any pics you have of your Fairlane. I am a Fairlane nut. I have one of my own. Same engine and trans in a 1966 500 Two door hardtop. I've been working on it for nearly 5 years now, and its really close to being a street driveable car now. Had it dyno'd but Livernois Motorsports and it put out just over 450 hp and 470lb-ft at the rear wheels!!! I am changing the rear gear from the 4.62 that I have in it right now (my old strip only 9" from a T-Bird) down to a 3:73 so I can drive it to work every now and then.
Red rider: When I change discs, I never have to re-jet. If anything, I play with the fuel screw a little and that works fine. Just don't go too rich of a jetting. I did that the first time. It sucks.
