depends on what kinda riding you do. if you do alot of duning or dragging a banshee would be great. ir you do trails and mx then a 400ex would be the way to go.

I'd probably definately go for the EX. Banshees are a lot more work to maintain, unless you like waorking and tuning. I'd only go with the Shee for Dunes and dragging though IMO.

yeah really the 400ex is one of the best well rounded quads out. easy to mantain, reliable, and good handling. it would be the better choice.

If you ride dunes or drag get a shee' they are not hard to maintain. I have never had a problem with em'. If you ride trails and tracks I would get a 400:)

The Shee is way faster. But they are right - the 400ex is a better overall quad. Reliability, handling, maintenance.

i have a banshee and i love it for the most part! if it had the handling of a 400ex then i would love it to death. it's actually alright for trail riding if you know how to work the clutch right, or if you gear it down a bit. but after my banshee gets back from the shop i'm selling it and getting a 400ex or yfz450 because i want to get into MX and jumping.

I don't buy that,...I don't/haven't ever had any reliability issues, and do no more maintinance than any of you all EX'rs do, other than some spark plugs here & there(but that's my own fault because my jetting is a bit off). Handling,...well that's something you get used to, granted it's not up to par with a 400ex out of the box, but after riding a banshee for so long I feel a bit awkward when I hop on Zephead's EX because it's not what I'm used to. Preference is my answer, I love my banshee, but I also love EX's...just don't have me one yet.;) With my new +2+1 arms & shortened swingarm,...my handling oughta be pretty pimp, haven't gotten to try it yet though.:(
