What are your thoughts on what parts, if any, will interchange between the two?

I'm sure it is obvious the motor parts wont, but what about chassis and suspension? Bolt-ons? Maybe exhaust? Electrical?

Chances are exhuast/electrical won't be, because I know the XR400/400EX do not have anything in common with the CRF450. I know the frame will not be the same because of motor positioning and mounts, and the added torque/power, so chances are they redid the A-Arm/swingarm/axle mounting posistions and stuff. Honda usually doesnt reuse parts..

we might get lucky with axels, shocks, plastic, maybe swingarm.

wheels are a given.

If I could see into the future I'd be getting next week's Powerball numbers and not worrying about what Honda parts are going to be interchangeable:D

But, wheels will most likely work but it's highly unlikely anything else will (maybe a-arms).

I bet there's gonna be a good bit of parts that you can interchange. Just seems to be honda's way.... Look at the 250R vs 300EX vs 400EX. I dont see them making a completely different quad....

then again, who really knows at this point???
