does any one know if it can hurt a quad if i took out spark arrester? also is it race legal?

I took mine out of my HMF and it's running just fine. It's legal for mx racing, I'm not sure if it is for XC though.

its legal for mx, but you wont be able to ride in state riding areas and places like that.

You will be fine for mx just make sure that when you do go riding in any area that requires one (mostly state parks) that you do have it because they do give out heafty fines :ermm:

around here they use a rod and stick it in the silencer and make sure that there is a screen in it and they also look for the USFS stamp.
