Ok, I am new to changing brake pads. I have always let the shop do it but labor is over $60 and that is crazy to keep paying. Could anyone explain how to do it? I know I will need a C-Clamp to push the piston back but I need more info..
First off, get a sevice manual. The Clymer is less than 1/2 of the labor rate you posted;)
You might need a c-clamp to push the piston back, sometimes you can push it back with your fingers or some people use channel locks. The c-clamp works the best.
I'm too slow at typing to write the whole procedure but it is fairly simple to do. Maybe some one will write up a tech procedure to put in the FAQ's;)

go to ebay & buy the manual on CD...its perfect...JOEX said it right...i can't believe you would ever pay $60 for changing rear brake pads...it is very simple...just sit down & figure it out. If you have anymore questions come back to this thread & we will help yopu out
