How many discs are you running in your E-series pipe? I have seen any where from 6 to 11 in a quad and all twelve on a XR. So what do you run?

11 is running pretty good for me.

in the manual that I got when I bought the pipe it said 12 worked the best [on the dyno chart].....;)

I usually run all twelve. A few weeks ago at Horsefall I ran 6 just to quiet it down a bit. Didn't seem to run quite as well with the 155 at sea level. I didn't mention I had an e-series in the emails did I?:p

Just wondering, wouldn't the less discs make the pipe louder?Whould no discs give more performance. I'm looking into the e series, is anyone running the optional turn down end cap. I think it makes the pipe look so much better IMHO.

More discs=more air flow=more noise...
Less discs=less air flow=less noise...

Turn down...... If you over do it on a wheelie guess what the first thing to go will be;)

I have a promeg on my 400 and I run 12 disks and it doesnt touch the ground if you go over on a wheelie..

I'm running 18 right now, but I might try 16 and see how that works. BTW, 18 drags the ground when you wheelie over!:p

how good does it sound without any disks and just the turn down cap? how much perf. do you lose?

i felt like it was alot torqier and added alittle bottom end, i havent really notice a significant lose in top end i still run the saem against my riding buddies. although it does bark quite a bit more with the no disc and the turn down............
